The FEDSpace Podcast
The Show That Helps You Understand Federal Data Privacy and Governance
On Data Privacy Day in January of 2020, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) became the first federal agency to officially adopt the NIST Privacy Framework. In November of 2020, Charles Cutshall, the CFTC’s Chief Privacy Officer, received an award from the Federal Privacy Council recognizing the work the agency’s privacy team has accomplished over the past year. This week, Charles joined the FEDSpace Podcast to chat all things data privacy!
“I see privacy as now really having transitioned from what has historically been a compliance, check-the-box-type exercise, into a full-blown risk management function within organizations and agencies. ”
With over a decade of experience leading and transforming privacy programs across the Federal Government, Charles is no stranger to managing privacy risk. Tune in to hear about the CFTC’s decision to officially adopt the framework, additional challenges the agency’s privacy team has faced this year, Charles’ predications for the future of the data privacy landscape, and more!
