We are incredibly excited to make our company’s dedication to philanthropy official by joining Pledge 1% – a global movement dedicated to making the community a key stakeholder in every business. At Active Navigation, creating a sustainable future and supporting charitable causes is just as important as serving our customers, making our decision to join Pledge 1% an easy one.
With this pledge, we join an impressive cohort of companies including Salesforce and Atlassian, that are equally dedicated to giving back. Like many Pledge 1% members, our company has experienced rapid growth, having recently closed our Series A funding. As Active Navigation continues to scale, our leadership team wanted to formalize its commitment to making a positive impact on local communities and lowering its carbon footprint.

Active Navigation Volunteering at Shepards Down School
Active Navigation’s commitment to giving back began long before our decision to join Pledge 1%. Last year, we finalized an internal “Philanthropy Council” tasked with managing projects which support our on-going charity and green initiatives. In addition to the projects managed by the council, new ideas and causes to support are often presented by employees. When charitable events and projects are introduced to the office, it’s incredible to witness how quickly people are willing to sign up, showing just how invested we are as individuals, and as a collective, to give back.
Over the years, Active Navigation has been involved with Breast Cancer Care, Foundation Fighting Blindness, and Homes for our Troops, and this is just the beginning. Non-profit organizations receive our product at a significant discount, and employees are encouraged to volunteer at local organizations such as Community First.
