Active Navigation has hosted an exclusive boardroom lunch in Melbourne. The topic for the lunch was, The Information Governance Revolution: Defensible Destruction in the Era of Big Data.

It was a rare opportunity to meet with global information expert, Jason R. Baron Esq. Jason who is an internationally recognised Information Governance thought leader. He is currently Of Counsel, Information Governance & eDiscovery Group for Drinker, Biddle & Reath, LLP (USA) and former Director of Litigation for the US National Archives and Records Administration. Over the past 25 years he has been at the centre of an Information Governance revolution which is impacting all large organisations today. With the explosive growth in data the discussion was cantered around ‘defensible destruction’.

The lunch was attended by senior figures from Victorian Government including the Deputy Commissioner for Privacy, the Court Systems Manager and senior figures from Victorian Department of Health and ICT Strategy for all of government. In addition the COO of Education Services Australia and Legal figures specialising in the Information Governance area.
Jason Baron’s insights were well received by all attendees with a flowing discussion over two hours and a very successful event.
